the lyrics are about the never-ending material flow, the constant availability of material goods and digital data, the ever-decreasing latency between ‘click’ and ‘collect’ and the corresponding new unit of measurement for distances: time.

Finally, the third song reverts to tell about the origins of networks, particularly fungi with their mycelium networks underground.

The tranquil network which supplies trees with nutrients and provides an infrastructure for the conveyance of thousands of microorganisms by sending signals along its branches. Some researchers even call this network earth's natural internet. In in the flood (2), the animated characters form a choir, consisting of workers that, at the same time, possess human and machine-like features.

Their first song Monday is about their daily work life and uses elements of musical structures from the genre of musical theatre or songs by girl bands and boy bands. This song deals with the working conditions of jobs in warehouses and logistics companies. The second song machineage portraits a workers’ choir made up of machines and describes logistics as a body which is solely kept alive by machines.

The third song is a cover version of It’s a hard day’s night by the Beatles. When the song was written, John Lennon worked as an actor and supposedly / allegedly said after coming home from an exhausting day of shooting at the set, ‘It’s been a hard day… night’ – at which he then put together the famous song within only one day. Countless loading beds of trucks merge dock onto the entirety of existing orifices.
